11-Year-Old Regional Champions to Qualify for 2018 CRWS

Babe Ruth League, Inc. is implementing a new opportunity for the Cal Ripken Division to expand participation at the Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series that will result in more leagues having the opportunity to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
 
Beginning with the 2017 tournament season, the leagues that win their respective 2017 Cal Ripken Major/70 11-Year-Old Regional Tournamentwill be invited to participate as invitational teams at the 2018 Cal Ripken Major 70 World Series.
 
Babe Ruth Headquarters will prepare explicit Pre-World Series Instructions to be presented to the winners of the 2017 11-Year-Old Major/70 Regional Tournaments that detail their obligations, such as paying for their own travel to and from the 2018 Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series and lodging at an approved World Series Hotel.  
 
The leagues involved will be required to follow all 2018 Babe Ruth League Rules and Regulations regarding charter, rostering, player eligibility, and player selection.  The 2018 Letter of Eligibility will be extended to the league, and it will be their obligation to field a representative team. The leagues accepting this invitation will be permitted to participate in 2018 Cal Ripken Major/70 District and State competition, but will not be eligible to participate in regional play.
